Drop by at Luk Yu Tea House to enjoy the familiar bustling mood of a Chinese teahouse - spend a respite from shopping or a busy business day - to sip Chinese tea and nibble on typical Hong Kong dim sum and other Chinese favourites.
Watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen or sit at the mezzanine to enjoy your meal in the open concourse of Starhill Gallery as the rest of the world seem to whirr around you. You could sit at the courtyard for a board game or to simply stare at the mesmerising lattice works forming the restaurant walls. The lattice walls are based on the ethnic tribes of China, creating a map of China in a fascinating kaleidoscope of patterns and colours.
Peek through the lattices and spot Chef Lee deftly shaping some of his special dim sum items while the rest of the team moves in the compact kitchen with clockwork precision to create the heart-warming bites.
Meanwhile, Chef Thomas takes charge at the wok. The aroma of his cooking wafts about the kitchen and with a quick flick of the wrist, he pours out the contents of the wok – another masterpiece ready to be served.
Complete the meal with a satisfying pot of Chinese tea – choose from all-time favourites such as Jasmine, Oolong, and Chrysanthemum or opt for premium teas such as Silver Needle Jasmine, An Xi Guan Yin Wan and Ginseng Oolong.
